COVID-19 Immune-boosting juice

When you’re feeling under the weather with a cold or flu, often you don’t feel like eating solid foods. COVID-19 is no exception! This immune-boosting juice packs a punch and is rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin C, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial ingredients to help reduce the symptoms and severity of a COVID-19 or viral infection. Because of the inclusion of ginger, it also helps reduce nausea associated with these illnesses. When COVID-19 came my way, I was sipping on this juice all day long!

Immune-boosting juice

Equipment: Fruit & vegetable juicer. I use the Breville Juice Fountain.

Serves: 2-3 people

Ingredients

  • 5 x oranges (with skin cut off)
  • 4 x carrots (ends trimmed)
  • 1 x lemon
  • 2 x 50c pieces of ginger
  • 1 x 50c piece of turmeric

Method

  1. Feed all ingredients through the mouth of the juicer.
  2. Refrigerate juice for approximately 1 hour and serve with ice.

Like I said, this juice packs a punch and has quite a strong ginger flavour, but it will work wonders for your immune system! Let me know if you give it a go!
